UGA vs. Auburn

You haven't heard, Georgia won over the weekend, YAY! We beat Auburn 13-7 and celebrated our long-awaited victory in weeks. 

My Dad is a big Auburn fan. He's from Alabama and graduated from Auburn so he pulled out the blue and orange to honor his roots. Any other Saturday, he's dressed in red and black. We still love him, though! That win gave us bragging rights and plenty of material to use against him for the rest of the season. All in good fun of course!

Our seats were in an area we had never sat in before. We had a good view of the Dawgs entrance onto the field. It was a little hard to make out what the bands were trying to spell on the field, so in the future, it wouldn't hurt to be a couple more rows over to the left. I enjoyed having a corner aisle seat though. I had room to stretch my legs when needed, so that was a plus!

The band marched onto the field and played a couple of pieces in honor of our veterans and in honor of a former Georgia player who passed away this week at the age of 90. The student section at the end created a flag as the band formed the infamous UGA arch on the field. That was neat! As the red coats finished performing the national anthem, two fighter jets flew overhead and the game began. During halftime, someone proposed to their girlfriend. The jumbotron read "Ginni, Will You Marry Me?" Aweeee. 

I looked at Zac and said hey, where's my proposal on the jumbotron?? Cough cough. Haha ;) As the clock ran out in the third quarter, everyone pulled out their phones and used their flashlights to ring in the fourth quarter. Well done, DAWGS! We beat Auburn 13-7 and went home happy!
