Our Baby Shower

Our baby shower turned was beautiful! We had about 30 guests and rented out the local rec center. It was a great choice as it came equipped with all the essentials like a kitchen, tables, chairs, trashcans, and bathrooms. It ended up being the perfect space for our shower.

My parents arrived at the venue bright and early and helped set up decorations. My dad's truck was loaded with things from home that we'd figure we would need at the party. Example: Mom's outdoor table served as a perfect entryway table to greet guests.

Our baby shower theme was a tea party. We asked everyone to wear there best dress and tea party hat. I ordered a couple of hats from Amazon and settled on this one. We found disposable paper cups that resembled teacups on Amazon, along with floral-themed napkins and plates for food and dessert.

Mom did an excellent job with food and dessert. She ordered party trays from Publix with deli sandwiches and deli wraps. For dessert, we had cookies, petit fours, eclairs, brownies, etc. No one left hungry that's for sure! In fact, we had so many leftovers! I loved not having to make any lunch for the next week.

For shower games, we had a diaper race where two people faced off to see how many diapers they could attach to themselves in two minutes. That one ended up being pretty funny. Not everyone had changed a diaper before so some people were clueless that the tabs on a diaper act like a velcro when attached to the right areas. Watching my Dad and Stepdad face-off was hilarious. They were smack-talking each other the entire time, all in good fun of course.

We also had a baby-making station set up so guests could craft their best play doh babies.

We received the cutest outfits for our little girl. My grandma gifted us 5 handmade tutu's to match a 5-pack of onesies she purchased. They're adorable! When I was little, my grandma made a lot of my outfits so I love seeing her in action making outfits for our baby girl already.

We can't wait to meet you, baby girl! Just one month left! I know you'll be here in no time.
