Forest Gump Film Location

Did you remember this infamous scene from Forest Gump where Forests says, "My mama always said, life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." Fun fact: That scene was filmed in Savannah, GA. When Zac and I found out that this infamous Forest Gump scene was filmed nearby, we decided to make a date night out of it and go explore and have dinner downtown. A little boy in the park starts re-enacting a Forest Gump scene, "Jenayyyyyy", he yelled and took off running like he was Tom Hanks. It was funny!

We took our pictures and walked towards Broughton street to explore. We stopped inspired the french themed store, "The Paris Market", which is one of my favorite shops to grab macaroons and a coffee. This time I tried vanilla, salted caramel, and lemon. They were all delicious!

For dinner, we went to "The Chart House" on Riverstreet. It was a little pricier compared to nearby restaurants, but worth every penny! Zac ordered the "Chart House Steak" and I ordered the "Spicy Ahi Tuna". The tuna was grilled and topped off with a soy sauce mixed with wasabi. If you like sushi, you'd enjoy this meal.

After dinner, we drove to Tybee Island thinking they were having a Labor Day fireworks show that night, but it turns out the show was the night before. We decided to go for a walk along the dark shoreline and make the most of our evening. The sky was unusually cloudy, so the moon was hidden behind the dark clouds. We used the flashlights on our phones to see while we walked along the sandy shore.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend.
