AWAY: UGA vs. UT

We made the road trip to Knoxville, TN over the weekend to support our Dawgs against the Tennesee Vols!

Friday night, I celebrated Zac's birthday with a little Ninja Turtle throwback and some chocolate Ninja Turtle cupcakes. Lol, it might have looked like I was shopping for a 9-year-old's birthday, but this 9-year-old is actually 29! Happy Birthday, Boo-thang! Later that night, we hit the road and headed to Knoxville, Tennessee for a weekend of football.

We arrived early Saturday morning. Zac was a trooper and drove the entire 6 hours! After some much-needed sleep, we got up and played some corn hole, football, and grubbed out on some burgers before we caught the bus to the stadium for the game. The streets were flooded with Tennessee orange. I laughed and joked about how I'm glad we have colors that complement my skin tone because orange is not one of those.

As we were tried to locate our seats inside of the Tennesee Stadium, we kept climbing and climbing more stairs. Finally, we reached the top! Literally! Our seats were in the highest row of the stadium. We turned around to look at the view and we all said in unison, "Whoa!" Instantly, my gut flipped and I had to take a deep breath. Once we got over the initial shock of the height, we looked over the rails to admire how beautiful the view was!

We ended up losing our star athlete, Nick Chubb, to an injury on the very first play! The rest of the game was so close! We were cheering one second, and biting our nails the next. Each team kept scoring touchdowns, one after the other, all the way down to the 4th quarter. With only 10-seconds left on the clock, Tenessee won the game with a last-minute hail mary.

The final score was 38-31. This was our second loss in a row, following our loss to Alabama last weekend. Our season record is now 4-2.

It's definitely not fun to be the losers at someone else's stadium. Lol, the Tennessee fans surrounding us gave us a hard time as we walked back to the bus. A Tennessee fan walked by and acted like he was going to give us a high five and goes, "Sike, go VOLS!" Zac looked at him and yelled our stats, "4 and 2!". The guy yells, "Shut the f*** up!" We just laughed and kept walking. The TN fan walking behind us said, "Don't worry guys. We know the feeling!"

Tennessee's had a pretty crappy season, so the fact that they beat us was an upset in SEC predictions. It really makes UGA's running for the SEC Championship questionable at this point. *Tear tear*
